TNF Camo

The North Face

First introduced in Spring / Summer 22

The North Face has repurposed military surplus materials from its inception. TNF Camo was inspired by the ERDL camouflage pattern, first issued to military units in 1967, just one year after TNF was founded in 1966. As soldiers returned from Vietnam, camouflage was co-opted by the protest movement and has since become a symbol of subversion. Textures of El Capitan in Yosemite, the birthplace of TNF are embedded in the print. As well as small hits of branding hidden throughout the pattern.
